A Vienna-headquartered B2B SaaS scale-up at the intersection of asset operations, IoT, AI and facility management is looking for its next commercial leader. Having just closed an investment round with a strategic partner our client reached profitability ahead of plan, and is sharpening its category leadership in facility management operations. The role is set up as Head of Sales today, with the explicit perspective of growing into the VP Sales mandate as the company moves through its next stage. It is a player-coach role, reporting directly to the CEO, with end-to-end ownership of new ARR and a commercial team of around 20 FTEs.
What is it about?
Our client is a profitable, founder-led scaleup with an established customer base that includes some of the most demand-ing FM operators and OEMs in Europe and beyond. Its platform combines SaaS, IoT, AI and robotics integrations to digitise and automate workflows around machines, fleets, maintenance and field service — replacing traditional paper-work with structured, data-driven operations. The next chapter is about scaling the commercial engine substantially while sharpening category leadership in facility management operations. The Head of New Business (gn) takes over the full new-business engine — owning the ARR target across new logos and expansion, building a strong and reliable pipeline with healthy CAC payback, and developing the commercial team, today an SDR organisation paired with a focused AE layer led by team leads. The role partners closely with marketing on demand generation, with product on customer reality, and with customer success on net retention. The Head of New Business title reflects the operational reality of the role today; the perspective to grow into the full VP Sales mandate is genuine and on the table for the right person. For commercial leaders who have run a sales leadership function before and are ready for the next step, this is a rare combination: An operating role now and a senior leadership title within clear reach.
Our ideal candidate
We are looking for an experienced commercial personality with a strong track record in B2B SaaS sales and leadership exposure as Team Lead, Senior Sales Manager, Director or Head of Sales in a growth-stage company. What matters more than tenure is the demonstrated ability to scale revenue through a comparable growth phase, to close complex enterprise deals personally, and to coach a team to do the same. Domain proximity matters. Experience selling software into facility management, real estate operations, field service, maintenance or comparable asset-intensive verticals — CAFM, CMMS, FSM or adjacent industrial SaaS — provides a meaningful head start, as does selling into mid-sized and global enterprise accounts across DACH and beyond. This is a builder's role: commercial intensity, hands-on player-coach instinct, sound judgment around pricing and deal structuring, and the kind of intellectual curiosity that takes the time to understand the operational reality of FM operators and OEMs. The role is based at the Vienna headquarters with three days on site as the working norm. Fluent English is a given; German or other major European languages are a clear advantage.
What's on offer
The minimum gross annual salary is EUR 140,000 with clear willingness to overpay significantly based on experience and performance. Total compensation is structured around a competitive base, substantial variable upside tied to commercial outcomes, and equity participation reflecting the seniority and growth perspective of the role.
